Meet our New Groomer

 

We have a new groomer!  Her name is Lyndsay and she recently graduated from Northern

College, specializing in Animal Grooming and Veterinary Science.  She learned to provide such services as de-shedding treatments, skunk baths and lion clips on cats.

 Lyndsay loves animals and owns guinea pigs and rabbits.  She also loves to ride horses in her free time.

Here is a description of some of the courses she took.

Animal Handling:  How to restrain an animal without causing injury to the animal or the handler.

Grooming:  Learning about skin care,scissors, clippers, mattes, ticks, mites, ear care and nail care.

Large Animal Studies:  How to work with horses, cows, sheep, goats, proper restraint techniques and body conditions.

Feeds and Feeding of Companion Animals:  We learned about proper nutrition and feeding techniques for dogs and cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, rats and other pocket pets.

Kennel Duty:  Dog walking, cleaning of cages and assisting with administration of medications.
